A discussion on "Marxists and Liberals" by Fernando Lizárraga

The article presents positions and objections to Fernando Lizárraga’s book Marxistas y liberales, published in 2016. Particularly, discrepancies are presented regarding the method –an abstract normativism versus a situated normative critique– and the anthropology assumed in John Rawls and transplanted to the present book, which assumes rational and disembodied beings. Discussions are also raised about the relationship between freedom and equality, self-ownership and the technical level of a society, as a solution or not to its distributive problems.
